Our "New" House . . .

This past month and a half has been very busy for us. At the beginning of this month Michael, Jada, and I moved into a little home south of BYU campus. Yes, we are back in Provo. The first few days were pretty rough . . . the place was filthy when we moved in. We were scheduled to move in on Friday the 6th, but had to post pone it because our landlord had to cancel the carpet cleaning. The place was soo dirty. We would have had to wait a week or so before professional cleaners and the carpets could be cleaned so we made a deal with our landlord to clean it ourselves. We hired on some help and spent the morning and afternoon of the 6th cleaning like crazy. By 4pm it was clean enough to get our carpets done. We spent all day Saturday moving boxing and trying to finish the cleaning that we weren't able to get to the day before. It took us a few days to get everything cleaned but after a week or so, the house finally looked great. (Thank you everyone who helped us, Lindsey, Kenny, Becca, Taylor, Bob and Claire Mount, and anyone else I missed! We really appreciate all of your time.)

My sister, Lindsey and her husband, Kenny, were kind enough to drive down for a few days to help take care of Jada during the day while Michael was at school and I unpacked and finished the cleaning. I don't know what I would have done without them! I was able to go MUCH faster with them there. Thanks Lindsey and Kenny!

Michael and I spent a lot of time those first few weeks trying to find things to furnish our home. This is the first unfinished place we have lived in. So, needless to say, we had nothing. Not even a bed. But somehow, within about two weeks we accumulated nearly everything we needed, and then some:). (Our last item, a good couch, will be here soon!) We have been so blessed. We spent many hours on craigslist and ksl looking for things and going to garage sales on the weekends. Somehow we found AMAZING things for GREAT deals. We seriously have been so lucky and blessed this past month. We were literally in the right place at the right time on numerous occasions. I will post some pictures of our favorite finds soon!

We have been in the house for 5 or so weeks now and are really loving it. We love having all of our things back. We love having a house instead of an apartment. We love not sharing any walls. We love our neighbors. We love our ward. We love having a lawn to play on outside (which we have done many times). We love having a bigger space, TWO BEDROOMS! We love it all. The only thing we miss is seeing and being with my family:( But we get to go visit this weekend:)
