Over Memorial weekend, our family (with the addition of Aunt Lindsey and Uncle Kenny) went on our first family camp out! After Tucker and Michael had so much fun at the Father/Sons camp out, Jada was sure that we all needed to go. So . . . we planned it and went.
On Friday morning, Lindsey ventured out and tried to lock down a camping spot for us all that evening. After over 5 hours of searching we decided to give up. Every where was booked. I was a bit frustrated and unsure what we could do to save our weekend. The kids were so excited and we were all ready and pumped to go.
Luckily, while Michael was picked up fire wood from our landlord and friends, Joel and Darlene, he mentioned to him our dilemma. He responded, "Let me show you the best camping site in Cobb County". And he did:) They own over 12 acres of land and back through the trees in a clearing they had made the perfect campsite: secluded, private, fire pit included, and only a 3 minute walk to the house to use the bathroom:)
It was perfect. We had such a fun time setting up camp, making dinner over the fire, roasting marshmallows, going on adventures, and being together. Memphis even loved it. We are so glad Lindsey and Kenny came. It was one fun night! Too bad we didn't prepare for two:)
