Preschool for Jada

Our little Jada Bug started preschool on September 1st. She couldn't have been more excited. Jada loves to learn and loved going last year. She came home every time so excited to tell us what she learned and to show us what she did and made. This year is no different.

This year, some fellow moms and I (mostly the same from last year) do preschool twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays and rotate teaching. Since we did the usual letters, numbers, colors, and shapes last year, we decided to do something different this year. So . . . together we decided to do Joy School. For those of you like me, who had never heard of Joy School before, it is a program you can buy online. They give you all the lessons with a list of everything you need and things to prepare. It comes with tons of songs (that the kids LOVE) and lots of fun ideas and things that I never would have thought of on my own (or found via Pinterest or google searching) to help teach concepts and such. It doesn't focus on the usual letter and numbers, but instead focuses on JOY and teaching them about the joy of our bodies, nature, etc and finding happiness in everything. Jada has loved it so far, and I have really learned a lot. Not about the topics in general, but about teaching and how to teach better. It has been really helpful for me.

As of the first day of preschool, Jada's . . .
Favorite Song is . . . Let It Go
Favorite Color is . . . Purple and Pink (though she usually says "all the colors")
Favorite Food is . . . Ice Cream
Favorite Toy is . . . Elsa and Anna
When she grows up she wants to be . . . a Mom

We are so excited for Preschool 2015-2016
