Jada has grown up so much in the past few months since starting school. She physically looks older and acts older. I can't believe it has been 6 years. I am so proud of her for who she is. She really is a wonderful young lady and a great big sister. Happy Birthday Jada Monet! We all love you so much!
At 6 years old, Jada:
Is 47.4 inches tall (90th percentile) and weighs 51 pounds (76th percentile)
Loves to learn. She has loved every minute of Kindergarten. She was so ready to go and hasn't let us down. She loves learning to read, and especially loves math. She comes home every day talking about her new friends, her sweet teachers, and loves showing me what she colored or did that day. She is a great reader and enjoys reading her homework books to me when she gets them. She really loves her sweet teacher, Ms. Cochran, and is always excited to see her every day. Her teachers rave about Jada and her willingness to help others. They often ask her to help her classmates with their assignments when she is done, and other classroom duties. She is a born leader and is always kind and looking out for others. One of her favorite things about school is running around with the boys at recess which she does every day. She thinks its cool that she is the only girl that runs with all the boys.
Loves to read. She has recently started reading books on her own when she has free time and we love it. I love seeing her on her bed reading to herself. She could read when she started Kindergarten, but has come a long way. She loves reading and trying to read on her own, especially the scriptures and her level books.
Is getting more and more sass and an attitude. She can be a roller coaster of emotions, especially since starting school. She is usually happy as long as mom doesn't ask her to do anything and I let her play with her friends every day. If life goes her way and she never has to clean up or do her hair . . . she is one happy camper:) If only we all didn't have to do those things EVERY. DAY.
Loves playing with her new friends in the neighborhood. There are a handful of kids on our street and at least a few of them come outside and play everyday. It was been a learning experience for everyone, but for the most part positive. Jada loves socializing and being with her friends. But she is also pretty sensitive and struggles when some of the older kids say things like "I'm not going to be your friend if you don't _____". She is always making friends wherever we go and loves to talk and play with any kids her age.
Is still a self promoted "Mommy #2" in the house. She likes to take charge and enjoys telling her brothers what to do/not to do. She thinks she can pick up Memphis, yes still (even though he is over half her size) and often tries to tell him and Tucker what they need to do. Overall though, she is a great big sister and helper. She is pretty sweet to her brothers.
Loves pizza, mac & cheese, salad, and spaghetti.
Loves pink, purple, and yellow
Is too smart for her own good and often picks up on subtle things I try to hint to Michael about. You can't hide anything from Jada, especially now that she can read and spell.
Loves going on dates with mom or dad
Wants a baby sister so bad and has asked me a number of times throughout the year when she will get one. We have tried to explain that we don't get to choose, but she just ignores it and keeps asking for a sister. She is drawn to baby girls and loves playing with them and mommying them. She would be such a great big sister for another little girl. Hopefully one day we can make her dreams come true.
Loves to listen to music and Scripture Scouts. She has been learning all sorts of new songs at school and just enjoys singing. She is no longer into Elsa, Anna, or any other princess and is sure to pass on any of those songs.
Lost her first tooth!
We sure love you Jada Bug! I try my hardest every day to be the best mother and example I can for you. I hope you know how much I love you and do my best. Please forgive me of my flaws, and always know how much I love you. You will forever be my little Jada Bug, the girl who made me a mom those 6 years ago.
